Abstract
This Report is a study to establish Class Number Formula for Quadratic fields which is an abelian extension and also study some properties of p-adic numbers from definition along with valuations.We first study generalised Dedekind Zeta Function on a number ring and then establish formula for number of ideal classes.We then move on to some prerequisites for studying p-adic numbers and then study them.Finally, we move to Valuations ending with Ostrowski Theorem.
