Abstract
The formation of condensates in a supersymmetric Yang-Mills-Higgs theory provides a candidate mechanism for dynamical symmetry breaking via dimensional transmutation for models with UV strong gauge couplings [188]. Constraints imposed by the Generalized Konishi Anomaly (GKA) on these condensates allow for the calculation of the quantum corrected VEVs which break the gauge symmetry. The aim of this thesis is to utilize this technique to establish the relation between the VEVs generated by the respective condensates of a pair of N = 1 supersymmetric Seiberg duals of which one is strongly coupled in the UV, and study the symmetry breaking pattern therein. Our work indicates the VEVs in the dual theories are proportional and that AF electric theories condense (and are broken) near the AS magnetic SSB scale. This may be interpreted as an underlying preonic theory for the e↵ective AS magnetic GUT.
