Abstract
In this course of work, we have developed a novel approach for an efficient, mild, and transition metal-free visible-light-induced three-component trifluoromethylation of unactivated alkenes followed by alkylation, allowing the formation of a new C(sp³)−C(sp³) and C(sp³)−CF₃ bonds. We employed a bench stable, cheap, and easily handled Langlois reagent as CF3 source and Michael acceptor as an alkylating reagent in our protocol. In this methodology, we have tested various Michael acceptors and unactive alkenes to furnish our desired products with excellent yield and high chemo-selectivity.
