Abstract

Kerr-Cat qubits are a promising candidate for fault-tolerant quantum computation due to their highly biased noised channel leading to better error-correction. The CX Gate is very important in Cat qubits, both for universal quantum computation as well as error correction. In this thesis we explore the impact of the ˙ϕ term in the CX Hamiltonian, which showed much better fidelity compared to the ˙ϕ- free Hamiltonian. The improvement in fidelity are then shown to be due to STA corrections arising from the ˙ϕ term.
