Abstract
The main aim of the project is to define the different homological dimensions associated with a module and a ring. The first chapter deals with catgory and functor. It also introduces two functors - Hom and Tensor and their properties. The second chapter deals with derived functor in detail . It also introduces Ext and Tor functor and their properties. The project concludes with some results on injective, projective and global dimension.
