Abstract

Using first principles density functional density, we have studied the effect of Na doping at K-Sites of Jarosite. Previous theoretical studies show that KFe3 (So4)2(OH)6 will decompose into yavapaiite (KFe(So4)2) hematite (Fe2O3) and water (H2O) under martin conditions beyond 18C. However, several studies indicate the martin Jarosite contents a significant a amount of Na doped at K sites in Jarosite Crystal structure.
