Abstract
In this thesis we have studies classically scale invariant theories(CSI) and have explored some examples where this invariance is not preserved when we study radiative corrections. We have previewed the definition of classical scale invariance, some useful concepts like effective action and effective potential and how they are calculated. We have describe its usefulness in the study of spontaneous symmetry breaking. Then we have discussed an important example which is scale invariant but radiative corrections are considered it shows emergence of scale dependence and also lead to spontaneous symmetry breaking. We have reviewed the description of Two Scalar CSI Model and its importance in the standard electroweak theory of elementary particles. Then we have described two classically scale invariant theories which also show spontaneous symmetry breaking after introducing radiative corrections and discussed their behaviors.
