Abstract
We study various network models that capture the effect of social networks in obtaining information about jobs and how they influence employment rates. In particular, we look at how the structural properties of the social network like network size, connectivity, and neighborhood affect the probability of a person hearing about a job opening. We establish these relationships based on the ‘Calvo-Armengol and Jackson’ network model.
