Abstract

Study of quantum correlations of a bipartite quantum modes (fermionic and bosonic) in a general relativistic setting has received a significant attention in the recent years. Owing to the fact that success of various information theoretic protocols such as, quantum teleportation, secret key sharing, etc., relies on the existing correlation between the shared states, it is important to study correlations in a general setting, where the observers are allowed to accelerate. In the present thesis, we investigate the quantum correlations such as, entanglement, quantum coherence and quantum discord for various pure and mixed bipartite state such as, maximally entangled Bell state, Werner state, Bell diagonal state, shared by two observers, as affected by the acceleration of one or both the observers, i.e., affect of decoherence induced due to the Unruh radiation. We study the degradation of correlations as observed by the non-inertial observer for several quantum fields, such as, the Klein-Gordon field, the Grassmann fermionic field (spinless fermions), and the Dirac field. Intrestingly, It is shown that not only quantum correlation but classical correlation also, in general degrades with the increase in acceleration of one or both the party.
