Abstract

Mesoionic N-heterocyclic thione(mNHT) derived from abnormal N- heterocyclic carbene(aNHC) has been utilized for the stabilisation of transition-metal centres. The localised electron density has been used as the highly nucleophilic centre to stabilise Cu(I) centre, namely cuprous bromide. The complete standardization of the synthesis has been done and also the complex has been characterized using standard NMR techniques and SC-XRD.
