Abstract
The demand for efficient energy harvesting technologies necessitates innovative material approaches. This study investigates the dimensional transformation of 3D CsPbBr₃ perovskites via hydrophobic interactions with Ruthenium(II) polypyridyl complexes of varying alkyl chain lengths. Structural disintegration induced by interaction of alkyl chains of the complex with the protective oleyl chains on the 3D CsPbBr3 leads to the formation of lower-dimensional nanoplatelets or nanowires. Chain length variation, from nonyl to methyl, significantly impacts the transformation process and the type of structures formed. Additionally, differences in the disintegration mechanisms of 3D CsPbBr₃ are examined, offering insights into structural evolution and potential applications in next-generation energy harvesting devices from these newly formed augmented structures.
