Chapter 1 illustrates a general introduction of chemical sensors, their utilities and brief description of conjugating polymers as chemical sensors. Chapter 2 reviews different techniques and design of Fluorescent conjugated polymers for Chemical Sensing. It includes the detailed description of synthetic procedures, experimental strategies and reagents that are employed to perform the whole work, embodied in this thesis. Chapter 3 deals with the result and discussions, the UV and Fluorescent spectra of polymeric sensor and the 1H NMR data corresponding to the synthons.
