Abstract

This thesis explores the quantum dynamics of two non-interacting two-level atoms placed inside a leaky cavity, employing the fluctuation-regulated quantum master equation (FRQME) framework. The analysis confirms the generation of persistent entanglement under these conditions. The study further investigates the role of dipolar interactions and finds that the dipolar coupling strength (wd) plays a critical role in determining the degree of entanglement. Specifically, the entanglement concurrence exhibits an inverse proportionality with the dipolar coupling (C ∝ w−1 d ), emphasizing the importance of minimizing wd to achieve high entanglement. In contrast, the atom-cavity coupling strength (ga) offers limited tunability in enhancing entanglement. A time-dependent analysis reveals a dual role of wd: at short timescales, specific values of wd can transiently enhance entanglement before eventually becoming detrimental. Additionally, the correlation time of bath fluctuations (τc) significantly affects the entanglement dynamics. High concurrence requires both a short correlation time and strong atom-cavity coupling. A critical threshold for the product gaτc is identified as a necessary condition for sustained entanglement. Overall, the results highlight that minimizing dipolar coupling is essential for achieving robust and long-lived entanglement in cavity quantum electrodynamics systems.
