Abstract
This thesis deals with the ligand formation for Organometallic Metal Complexes. Ligand is one of the most important parts of Organometallic Metal Complex systems. It provides stabilization and steric protection of metal complexes. The main theme of my thesis is to explore donor functionalized CAAC ligand with different types of metal. I have synthesized an Anisole-based moiety where the Methoxy (-OMe) group acts as a donor, as well as a -CH2 linker is also present here. It was characterized by both C-sided and N-sided Carbene to make two different types of pro-ligand systems. Thereafter, free carbene was observed from the Csided Anisole-based pro-ligand version, and it was coordinated with Cu and Ag Chlorides to get Metal-Carbene complexes. On the other hand, a secondary alcohol was derived from the N-sided Anisole-based pro-ligand version, and after that, it was oxidized using Pyridinium Chlorochromate to get an amide derivative, which is known as Pyrrolidone. Our motto is to synthesize Rhodamide complex, which is catalytically very efficient for the hydrosilylation of olefins. As well as we got Rh-Carbene Metal complex from the N-sided Anisole-based proligand version.
