Abstract

This project deals with the phenomenology of Standard Models Higgs as well as Beyond Standard Model Higgs particles which can couple to two Standard Model fermions, gauge bosons and gluon. The coupling of CP-even and CP-odd components of the Higgs boson is of the same order with a pair of fermions, which is not the case for coupling of Higgs with gauge boson. Several methods have been used to isolate the Higgs events from the background events. In this thesis we propose that π− π spin correlation can be used to suppress the background and enhance the signal count. The proposed observables allow to discriminate between pure scalar and pseudoscalar Higgs-boson states and/or between a CP-conserving and CP-violating Higgs sector. Further the CP asymmetries are defined from which the CP-mixing angle in Higgs boson can be determined with certainty at LHC.
