Abstract

The present work undertakes the synthesis of monomers for SCSC photopolymerisation using [2+2] cycloaddition. It is a case study of Tetraphenyl- methane and adamantane substituted compounds. Then the synthesis of monomers for building conducting single crystalline polymers was undertaken. After that the synthesis of monomers for carrying out [2+2] and [4+4] cycloaddition reactions by engineering crystal packing using co-crystallisation technique was discussed.
