Abstract
in this project we have attempted to synthesize a new pentalene based building block named as 7,14-di-(trimethylsily)-diquinoxalino[a,e]pentalene. The materials and methods are required to be standardised further in order to get the precursor of our targeted compound, namely 2-bromo-3-(trimethylsilyl)ethynylquinoxaline in good amount and then going for nickel mediated dimerization to envisage whether this protocol is apt for our system.
