Abstract
The present work aimed at looking at the use and advantage of the polymers in cancer drug delivery. All the monomers were successfully synthesized and characterised by ¹H & ¹³C NMR spectroscopy. The formation of the copolymer was characterised by GPC (PMMA standards). The amphiphilicity of the copolymer was characterised by DLS. This random co-polymer is amphiphilic in nature because the DOXI attached Norbornene segment behaves as a hydrophobic part where as the PEG attached segment is hydrophilic in nature which makes it easily soluble in water and form aggregates, which is confirmed by SEM. This completely water soluble stimuli responsive prodrug is expected to show efficient anti cancer activity towards breast cancer cell line (MCF-7).
