Abstract

The competition between Charge Density Wave and s-wave Superconductivity is studied in the presence of disorder using Inhomogeneous Mean Field Theory(BdG Formalism). For half-filled uniform systems both orders coexist. It was found that away from half-filling and with disorder the Superconducting order dominates the Charge DensityWave. For a strongly disordered superconductivity, an explanation for recently reported movement of `Superconducting islands' with density is also given.
