Abstract
Sensors are a class of organic molecule (macromolecules, small molecules) that shows stimulus towards defined toxic materials are termed as chemosensors. we tried to make a sensor that can sense anionic specific materials selectively like biological systems, metals etc. For that first we made two norbornene based monomers. The first one is a long chain norbornene derived 11-aminoundecanoic group with cationic charge/positive charge which is mainly our sensing moiety and another one a norbornene derived phosphonate molecule and we planned to do copolymerization of that monomers and after that we will deprotect it to make an anion sensor. In the Final compound, we have a norbornene attached long chain system in our copolymer. Basically the long chain alters the solubility character of the compound. In our final system, we didn’t use any water soluble moiety. And also we didn’t use any fluorescent molecule in our synthesis. We are trying to make a sensor which is highly water soluble and cationic in nature.
