Abstract
The application of network theory and algorithms is turning up new insights in the study of languages. In this work, we describe how to construct and apply language networks to the study of languages, with the Khasi language as a particular example. We mainly study how community detection can be used to reflect the usage of a language. We also look into the other aspects of building language networks and studying their properties.
