Abstract
To determine the crust and the upper mantle structures in the Dharwar craton. The fundamental mode of the Rayleigh wave is used for the analysis. The data is collected from the 34 broad band stations located in the Dharwar region. The teleseismic wave above 5.5 magnitude and having high signal to noise ratio, recorded during 2009 and 2010 are used for the analysis. The results estimate that the MOHO of the Eastern Dhawar Craton (EDC) is around 35 kms. In the North Western Dhawar Craton (NWDC) the MOHO is around 40 kms. And in the South Western Dhawar Craton (SWDC) the MOHO is around 45 kms. Since these are source receiver path specific the LAB depth cannot be estimated accurately. From the results we can infer that Dharwar craton have a thicker lithosphere.
