    Abstract

    Schwarzschild’s exterior solution and Birkhoff’a are well known in 4-D Einstein’s gravity. In this thesis, we investigate the Schwarzschild-analogue solution, Birkhoff’s theorem and TOV equations in 5-D Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet gravity. We also show that there exists a global monopole as the solution of the equation Hμν=0.
