Abstract

Propagation of gravitational waves in an isotropic spatially flat Friedmann-Robertson- Walker universe is investigated. Gravitational waves propagation in a Minkwoski universe which has been done previously is reproduced. Adding the curvature of space-time into the background metric for the propagation of gravitational waves we show the general gravity wave equations in a cosmological setting. We took Friedmann- Robertson-Walker spatially flat universe and rewrote the general wave equation in terms of Scale factor a. Then we implied dust filled spatially flat condition and radiation filled spatially flat condition and find out the solutions.
