Abstract

In the first part, the motive of this project is to simulate and study various types of electromagnetic resonators fit for performing Continuous-Wave Electron Spin Resonance (CW-EPR) and Pulsed Electron Spin Resonance (Pulsed EPR). Field patterns in Cylindrical Cavity Resonator, Loop Gap Resonator and Microstrip Line Resonator are simulated and compared. Various features of resonators such as filling factor, spin sensitivity, quality factor, field homogeneity are also discussed in the report. Molecular magnets, potential candidates for quantum computation offers a large Hilbert space with superposed and entangled states. As the second and an important part of this project two molecular magnets are studied and the energy spectrum is simulated by various parameters.
