Abstract
There are mainly three parts to this research work. In the first part, the time and work had been dedicated to literature survey related to Molybdenum Disulfide quantum dots (QDs). The second part deals with the optimization of synthetic conditions such as molar ratio, temperature and time. In the final part, photophysical studies were performed in detail with the synthesized QDs. Excitation dependent photoluminescence quantum yield had been observed with 7% variation. The photoluminescence decays were noted to be triexponential in nature.
