Abstract
We have developed a module to automate the construction of the Lagrangian using the terms dictated by the gauge principles and to allow the addition of ad hoc terms, per- mitted by the gauge principles. The program also allows the functionality to perform functional derivative of the Lagrangian with respect to a field/fields and a few trans- formations. There are two types of transformations available, firstly expansion of field strength tensor and the covariant derivative which can be generated using a mapping that is automated by the gauging of the symmetries. The other type of transformations available is making the entire Lagrangian explicit in the representations of a group and giving a vacuum expectation value to a component of a scalar field of the theory (limited to models defined over global symmetries).
