Abstract
Almost all of the inferential problems can be identified as being one of these types:est imation, hypothesis testing or confidence sets.We will treat all of these problems in detail in this paper. In chapter2, we introduced estimation: providing one "best guess" for a parameter of interest. In the subsequent chapters we discussed the idea of testing a default theory and try to answer the question if the samples actually provide sufficient evidence against the theory and accordingly reject or retain the theory (or hypothesis) and in turn using these testing procedures to find confidence sets for the parameter. Then in the final chapter, we focused on studying relationships between different groups and modelling a linear relationship between two groups .We then study about using this model for future predictions.
