Abstract
During the formation and breaking up of supercontinents over the geologic time scale, there were a lot of collisions between the lithospheric plates. The contact zone of these lithospheric plates bear evidence of the metamorphic histories through geologic time scale. Rocks present in these contact zones, also known as shear zones, provides information about the peak pressure and temperature conditions of both the adjoining lithospheric plates. Khondalite rocks from the Terrain Boundary Shear Zone between Eastern Ghats Belt and Bastar Craton provide information about the tectonometamorphic histories over geologic time scale.
