Abstract
This thesis presents searches for Vector Like Leptons (VLL’s) in the context of the ”4321 model” which is an ultraviolet-complete model with the potential to explain existing B physics measurements that are in tension with standard model predictions. The search is performed using proton-proton collision data collected with the ATLAS detector from 2015 to 2018 corresponding to the Run 2 dataset with a total integrated luminosity of 139 fb⁻¹ at √s = 13 TeV. The search targets pair production of VLL in one light lepton and two hadronically decaying τ−leptons (1l + 2τh) final state (l = e, μ). The resulting detector signature is expected to contain a light lepton, τ−leptons, jets, b-jets and missing transverse energy (MET). The signal region optimization is performed using multivariate techniques in the VLL mass range 400-1500 GeV.111
