Abstract
It is fascinating to observe supramolecular thermo aero-able gelators (STAGs) formation of PAA(poly-acralic acid) and tartaric acid, urea, and guanidine with carboxylic, amide and imine moieties, respectively. In this experiment it is demonstrated that supramolecular synthons are introduced to cross-link and aerate („aero-able‟) polyacrylate networks for synthesis of hydrogels. Observation was done using diapers of six different companies and checked its absorbance of water. They are bi-functional, and hence present a greener alternative to the existing cross-linkers and gelators. Hydrogel formation of PAA-STAG-U and PAA-STAG-T was high compare to PAA-STAG-GD. Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) Images and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy(FTIR) investigations were done .
