Abstract
PAA-STAG-Urea (Soft material)has been introduced to build a network of supramolecular network of defects inside the uniform concrete matrix (hard material). This scaffold like network spreads all over the system which distributes the external strain uniformly and therefore there is a decrease in the stress per unit area and hence the total strength of the system is increased. The in-situ nanoparticle formation is most probably because of the alkaline medium of concrete which helps the bulk materials to get reduced to nano-dimension. Thermal property has been enhanced by the in-situ formation of ZrO2 and TiO2nanoparticles inside the scaffold network formed by supramolecular interaction between PAA and Urea. As the length of deformed network increases, mechanical strength of the system also increases.
