Abstract

All photoremovable compounds after photocleavage yields the fluorophores which show ESIPT. All photocleaved fluorophores exhibit much red shifted tautomer emission. Photoactivation kinetics of all three photocaged compounds have been measured and the rate for NBHBO, NBHBT and NBHMIM were found to be 0.67645 min-1, 0.73488 min-1 and 0.16679 min-1 respectively. Thus, NBHBT was found to exhibit the fastest photoactivation kinetics.
