Abstract
Covalent Organic Framework (COF) is an excellent toolbox in the growth of modern heterogeneous catalysis. Herein, we report a photocatalytic carbon-sulfur (C-S) cross-coupling reaction by utilizing the photosensitizing ability of highly conjugated Bpy-sp2-COF. The post decoration of photoactive Bpy-sp2-COF with transition metal nickel serves as an active catalyst, abbreviated as Ni@Bpy-sp2-COF, for the cross-coupling of organic iodides and thiols. The synergistic effect of a single metal site and photoactive COF scaffold can produce broad substrate scope with superior functional group tolerance in mild conditions. This work presages a magnificent footprint of the COF in the progress of dual photocatalyzed heterogenous coupling reactions.
