Abstract
Precise determination of stellar parameters is essential in the study of stellar evolution. This thesis investigates the impact of magnetic activity on stellar parameter determination, with special emphasis on the Sun and solar twins. Utilizing high-resolution spectra obtained with the HARPS and HORuS spectrographs, we compare solar active and quiet-phase spectra and extrapolate this research to solar twins. We aim to measure activity-induced biases on derived parameters, assess the suitability of solar twins as a reference, and enhance the precision of spectroscopic methods. Through differential abundance analysis, we examine the impact of solar magnetic activity on stellar parameter determinations. This research aims to simplify stellar calibration procedures and advance our understanding of solar and stellar atmospheres.
