Abstract

In this project we propose a new technique of micro patterning, invented in `Light-matter Laboratory' of IISER-Kolkata, which is based on light in- duced self-assembly of a liquid matter, namely SOMs. In recent times it has been seen that SOMs possess photo catalytic property, which influences us to couple the photo catalysis with micro-patterning, where we can have a Light induced controlled phase transition from liquid to crystalline state. Moreover, it is far cheaper and much faster a technique than Lithographic printing technique. So, this technique can be applied to circuit designing and it can be the alternative technique of the general trend of lithography. The techniques will be discussed in detail here. Here we have attempted to make micro patterns of poly-pyrrole over some non-conductive layer (of glass) and measure its conductivity. We also study the concentration dependence of conductivity of the poly-pyrrole.
