Abstract
The main aim of this thesis was to use synthetic small peptides for studying and understanding molecular self-assembly processes of these peptides in supramolecular helices and sheets and to study their further aggregation behavior in forming nanomaterials, gels and their versatile applications. It represents the synthesis, characterization, conformational analyses and self-association of designed peptides using proteinus and / or noncoded amino acids.
