Abstract

One of the main objectives of the present thesis to explore polarimetry in plasmonic systems. The present dissertation aims to address this outstanding issue in spectral polarimetry. The present work tried to develop a novel Mueller matrix measurement strategy and system, capable of spectroscopic measurements with high accuracy in short time. It also explored the development of appropriate polarimetry platform for inelastic scattering such as fluorescence spectroscopy. Finally, it explored novel applications of quantitative Mueller matrix spectroscopic polarimetry in biophotonics and in nano-plasmonics.
