Abstract
In this report, we have synthesized sequence registered peptide-poly (γ-benzyl-L-glutamate) (PBLG) bio-conjugates via ring opening polymerization (ROP) of γ-benzyl-L-glutamate N-carboxyanhydride (PBLG-NCA) employing amine terminated peptide initiators, OMe-Leu-Val-Phe-NH₂ (Leu: Leucine; Val: Valine; Phe: Phenylalanine). In the first step, OMe-LVF-NH₂ was synthesized via solution phase methodology and thoroughly characterized by ¹H and ¹³C NMR and FT-IR characterization tools. In the next step, this amine terminated peptide was used as an initiator for ROP of BLG-NCA monomer at ambient condition.
