Abstract

The present study was aimed towards evaluating and assessing the nutritional status, and metabolic complication like hyper tension and diabetes using anthropometric and physiologic tools and techniques. Along with it also aimed towards mimicking some of the findings of human cohort in an experimental mice model. There after evaluated the tissue level morphological changes and put forwarded an effort in understanding the variations due to other influential factors like age, sex and nutrition. The outcome from the findings suggests that, even though the prevalence of poor nutritional status, diabetes and hypertension was low in the population exposed to Arsenic toxicity, the individuals were at risk of having health complications at some stage of their life. Along with it also suggests that variable influential factors play a vital role in the outcome of arsenicosis. Furthermore, every Arsenic exposed population should be monitored in regular interval. This will minimize the burden of the impacts of Arsenic toxicity over health and socio economic status of a population for the well being.
