Abstract
To begin with, the crystal structures, and classifications of perovskite oxides and manganites are explained. These complex oxides continue to receive attention from fundamental and technological point of view because of their important structure features that guide the magnetic properties. In chapter 2, different synthesis methods of manganites such as high temperature solid sate method, co-precipitation method, glycine nitrate technique, sol-gel route, and autoclave techniques are discussed. The brief description about several characterization techniques used in this study such as XRD, SEM/TEM, ICP, EDAX, TGA, FTIR, are presented. In chapter 3, LFMR properties of La₀.₇₁Sr₀.₂₉MnO₃ (LSMO) nanoparticles (NPs) are discussed. In chapter 4, phase pure Pr1-xCaxMnO₃ (PCMO; x = 0.3 and 0.49) stacked nanosheets are prepared by dry autoclave technique under autogenic pressure and at elevated temperatures. In chapter 5, high FM properties of lightly doped Pr₀.₉₇₇Ca₀.₀₂₃MnO₃ and Pr₀.₉₆₄Ca.₀₃₆MnO₃ NPs are discussed.Chapter 6 deals with the synthesis of undoped (PrMnO₃.₁₈), A-site vacant (Pr₀.₉MnO₃.₂), Bsite vacant (PrMn0.9O3) nanoparticles by non-aqueous sol-gel method and their long range parallelism between crystal parameters and magnetic phase transitions.
