Abstract
Cancer is one of the deadly diseases which kills millions of people worldwide. Delivery of anticancer drugs specifically to cancerous cells without any side effects is always a challenging task. Polymeric nano carriers reduce the toxicity as well as efficient delivery. Doxorubicin is one of the well-known anticancer drug for cancer. In the synthesis of polymeric nano carriers, removal of catalyst as well as reducing the cost of synthesis of polymer will help to reduce the effective cost of the drug. In this work, we are using post polymer modified polystyrene for cancerous drug delivery application which will be cheap and trying to explore more avenues for the further functionalization of polystyrene. It is a backbone which is not explored in drug delivery application. It is expecting that this this polystyrene based back bone can be used for Gel synthesis as well.
