Abstract
In this study, different mineralogical phases formed during diagenesis have been analysed. Based on mineralogical composition and their textural relationship, an effort has been made to establish the diagenetic history and reconstruct a paragenetic sequence of diagenetic minerals formed in Vindhyan organic rich shales. In addition, we have evaluated the possible reactions involved in the formation of diagenetic minerals. Based on these exercises, we have evaluated the role of diagenesis and elemental association and their redistribution.
