Abstract

We study the renormalization of scalar field theory (spring mass ball models) by averaging in the time domain. We aim to extend this method to gauge field theories, which are constrained dynamical systems. For which we propose a second-order symplectic numerical method which can be used to evolve systems with only momentum dependent primary constraints.
