Abstract

In this thesis we study the effect of interaction and disorder through classical dynamics of trapped particle in external confinement potentials. We use irregular confinement as a model of disorder. In disordered system the dynamics of the particle is found to be chaotic. Chaoticity is a measure disorder. We quantify chaos to measure disorder. Lyapunov exponent is a quantifier of chaos. We can generate the trajectories of the particles in irregular confinement by molecular dynamics simulation. We calculate the lyapunov exponent from the time series trajectory using wolf algorithm.
