Abstract
In this work, the collapse scenario of some non-spherical models with minimally coupled scalar field is investigated. The potential considered here is a function of the scalar field. Particularly, the collapse scenario for power -law potential and combined power-law potentials is studied here. For a general type of metric, without considering any specific symmetry, we found an eternally collapsing model in case of a specific range of potential power-laws. It has been shown that for a specific range of combined power-laws, the scalar field collapses to singularity at finite time.
