Abstract

we have successfully synthesized block copolymer of side chain amino acid containing block and side-chain PLA segment. The 1H NMR study and GPC analysis confirmed the block copolymer synthesis. The thermal properties of the block copolymer were studied using TGA and DSC. Physical performances of the semicrystalline polymers were studied by POM studies. To study the formation of lamellar morphology small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) measurement was carried out. Crystal packing in the block copolymer was directly visualized using TEM and POM images.
