Abstract

The present study represents the study of Mesoproterozoic chorhat formation of the vindhyan group, identifying the possible trigger mechanisms for the occurrence of different soft sediment deformations at multiple levels within the studied interval of the Chorhat formation. It includes detailed Facies description and Facies Sequence analysis of the studied part of Chorhat Sandstone. It provides a description of identified Soft Sediment Deformation Structures (SSDs) in the studied interval. The present work concludes after discussing the deformation mechanisms and possible triggering agents of SSDs within the studied interval.
